"Colours don´t really exist" - well, true or not, to me they DO exist and enjoying them is one of the great gifts we´ve been given by our Creator. Colours give energy, they comfort, calm, warm and make happy. When I was a little girl I loved to look at the colour maps in the paint shops, you know those beautyful papers full of ALL kinds of colours and shapes.. Well, that little girl is still loving colour maps but nowadays even colourfull photos, paintings and home decorating.

Long time I tried to make my home white and light in the "danish style" (a style which IS very beautyful and which you find also in our webshop here and there), but always some colourful things sneaked in. Luckily I finally realised that a home can be both light AND colourful at the same time! This philosophy can also be seen in our webshop. 

I have never been very good at drawing or painting but photographing became already over 20 years ago my way of creating and dealing with feelings, both good and difficult ones. It´s marvellous to use the camera as "painters brush"!

I´m married to a very interesting man who is a marine artist, we have a wonderful daughter (now 5 years old) with a very colourful personality and I can now open this special and different web shop - well, I can really say that the colour map of my life already includes lots of wonderful colours!

Then some words about the products we are selling:

The home decoration items are (most of them) single pieces, collected with heart like treasures from near and far. Some of them are still rather new, some are old and touched by time. something vintage, something retro, even something antique! I think they are beautyful, funny, happy, some a little bit more valuable - I hope you like them also!

The paintings are all unique, made with 40 years experience, passion and professional skill. It has been a priviledge following from aside how an empty piece of canvas starts living with sailingships, old harbours, the sea and other nature wonders.

In my photoart I have let out many of my feelings, storing created wonders and playing and creating with colours. I don´t understand so much about technical things, but I do understand something about giving joy - and that is one purpose with my photos.
